Day Trip: Holiday Lunch, Shopping and Tea in Antioch

Be part of our holiday journey to Antioch! We start our day at Lovin’ Oven Cakery for a glimpse of the bakery. Then we proceed to the Dickens and Kringle Showroom for a guided tour and/or opportunity to explore on your own. For lunch, indulge in a delicious meal at Rivalry Alehouse. Choose from meatloaf with mashed potatoes, swedish meatballs with egg noodles or chicken parmesan with pasta. All meals come with seasonal vegetables, rolls and a choice of coffee, tea or soda. During lunch, guests will enjoy a brief “behind the scenes” talk of Dickens, Kringle and holiday music. After lunch, browse the local boutiques and stores in the downtown area. Round off the day with a cup of coffee or tea at Lovin’ Oven Cakery before heading to the Shiloh House for a docent lead tour of the estate. Considerable walking is involved with this trip. Registration/cancellation deadline: November 22 (spaces permitting). Transportation provided via Park District van.
Registration for this program/event begins at 9:00am on 8/8 for residents and 8/14 for non-residents.
Trip Information
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center lobby unless otherwise noted. Listed trip times are approximate. A detailed itinerary will be emailed at least 48 hours before the trip. Return times may vary depending on traffic and/or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.
Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
1: The trip is canceled by the Barrington Park District.
2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
4: If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date.
No cancellations/refunds will be accepted after the Registration/cancellation deadline listed for each trip.
All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
