The newly revised American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training course gives eleven to fifteen-year-olds the skills and confidence to be great babysitters. This course is fun and fast-paced with hands-on activities, exciting videos, role-plays and lively discussions. It teaches young people how to:

  care for children and infants
  be good leaders and role models
  make good decisions, solve problems and stay safe
  handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents
  write resumes and interview for jobs
  use the latest science in first aid and cardiovascular care

Students will receive engaging new products to help them be prepared and professional, including: Babysitters Training Handbook, Emergency Reference Guide, Training CD-ROM and Mini First Aid Kit. In order to receive certification, participants must be present for the entire class. Please bring a baby-like doll, pencil, paper and sack lunch to class. Participants arriving 15 minutes after the program has begun will not be admitted to class.
