No class 2/15, 3/22, 3/29. Class fees include costume for the Spring Recital.

This class will have a more classical jazz focus combines with the new trends of contemporary. Do you want to learn how to turn and jump? This class is for you. We will work on style, strength and improving all of our dance techniques.

Dress code: girls: tan jazz shoes, leotard and tights. Boys: black pants and black jazz shoes.

Registration for this program/event begins at 9:00am on 12/5 for residents and 12/12 for non-residents.

Spring Dance Recital 2025

Important Recital Information

The recital theme this year is “The Elements.” All participants in Winter/Spring youth dance will be in the Barrington Park District’s annual Spring Dance Recital (except for Bitty Ballet, Twinkle Toes and Adult Ballet/Jazz Combo). You must register for all dance classes by Friday, January 10, 2025. You must be able to participate in the recital (no prorations and no exceptions).

 

Recital Costumes & Fees

A costume is required to participate in the Spring Recital. Costume fees are included in your registration fee. The number of costumes your child will need depends on the number of individual classes he/she is registered for during the season.Combo classes only require one costume to be purchased and will only perform one style of dance in the recital. Students will be measured on the first day of class for their costumes.Dance teachers must be notified by the first day of class if your child is not participating in the Spring Recital. If your child has any special costume needs, please email Heather at hgoldman@barringtonparkdistrict.org. There will be a REQUIRED additional fee of $30 for a digital download recording of our performances.

 

Special Notes
Bitty Ballet and Twinkle Toes do not participate in the recital due to their young age. They will have a short performance at the end of the last day of class in the Dance Studio for family/friends.

Each class will be assigned a recital showtime by March 1.

 

Important Mandatory Dates

•   Early bird discount deadline $5.00 OFF: 12/27/24.

•   Registration deadline: 1/10/25.

•   Dress rehearsal – BHS Auditorium (for all classes except Bitty Ballet, Twinkle Toes and Adult Ballet/Jazz Combo). Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 4:00 – 7:00pm.

•   Dance pictures: Saturday, May 17, 2025. Time TBD.

•   Dance recital: Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:30am or 1:15pm.
